I met the Wilson family a couple of years ago when I did an in home newborn session for baby Emma. I just love when families come back for sessions again and again, and getting the opportunity to see them grow is one of my favourite things about my job.
I met the family at Figgate Park, a special place to them as they live just round the corner and visit the park regularly for family walks and outings. It also happens to be a rather pretty location for some photos! (Bonus) Meeting these guys again was brilliant, we have become friends and it was so nice to catch up and see how the children had grown. This session was to be very relaxed, I had been pre-warned that Emma was now quiet an independent character! Having my own little one of these at home I was prepared for anything she could throw at me! We had a wonderful visit to the play park to start the session off and let the children burn off some energy and also relax around the camera. Emma was a natural and loved smiling for the camera and her big brother Matthew was so amazing with her, I love capturing these raw, natural moments between siblings. Too often parents get to see the bad sides of sibling rivalry so its amazing for me to capture those sweet moments for parents to cherish forever. We finished off the session with a visit to the duck pond and a wander around the beautiful setting of the park, leaving just enough time for some relaxed family shots before the children got too tired. There was plenty of chit chat and laughing throughout our session and it was a joy to capture such amazing family memories for people I now consider friends.
